The
East Brunswick Education Foundation expresses sincere appreciation to
the following supporters for their major donations, received from April
2010, through March 2011: PNC Foundation PNC and the PNC Foundation have long histories of strengthening and enriching the lives of neighbors in communities PNC serves. For decades, they have provided resources to seed ideas, foster development initiatives and encourage leadership in nonprofit organizations where imagination and determination are at work enhancing people’s lives everyday. The Foundation’s grants to the EBEF reflect its priority to form partnerships with community-based nonprofit organizations within markets PNC serves in order to enhance the educational opportunities for children. Seth Spraque Educational & Charitable Foundation The Seth Sprague Educational & Charitable Foundation has been a consistent supporter of the EBEF since 1998. The Provident Bank Foundation
The Provident Bank Foundation
was established in January 2003 to provide funding to support charitable
causes and community development activities in communities served by The
Provident Bank. The Foundation has five areas that The Northfield Bank Foundation The mission of the Northfield Bank Foundation is to promote charitable purposes within the communities in which Northfield Bank operates. The foundation focuses its efforts on projects to support education, health and human services, youth programs, affordable housing and other types of community organizations or civic-minded projects that improve the quality of life around us. Anthony Yoseloff Anthony is a graduate of East Brunswick High School, Class of 1992, and has generously supported the EBEF for the past eight years. Dr. David Lloyd Kabus Foundation On an annual basis, the Kabus Foundation provides a significant donation matched by the East Brunswick Education Foundation. To highlight Dr. Kabus’ love of the sciences especially in his high school years, this grant is directed to the East Brunswick High School’s Science Department for programs, equipment and materials that advance learning, research and progress in the sciences. Dr. David Lloyd Kabus graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1981. He was valedictorian and won the Bausch and Lomb Science Award. East Brunswick High School Class of 1975 The East Brunswick High School Class of 1975 has made a generous donation, matched by the East Brunswick Education Foundation, on the occasion of its 35-year reunion. The donation was made in memory of classmates who have passed away. Friends AND Family of Lorraine Schoenthaler Memorial donations, matched by the East Brunswick Education Foundation, have been made by friends and family of lifelong educator Lorraine Schoenthaler. She began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Iowa and retired from the New Brunswick Public School District, working primarily at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School as a preschool teacher. Her commitment to education also included serving nine years on the East Brunswick Board of Education. Friends and Family of Margaret Shyne Memorial donations, matched by the East Brunswick Education Foundation, have been made by friends and family of Margaret Shyne. Teaching in a one-room school house in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, she started and spent her career as an elementary school teacher, teaching principal, and math specialist in East Brunswick. |
The EBEF urges all area businesses to participate in the
work of the Foundation by joining us at our
meetings and/or by making
donations of funds or services to help us achieve our goals.
